Caregiver/Babysitter

Job Title: Caregiver and Babysitter
Location: Jacksonville, Florida

Pay: $17–$19 per hour
Schedule: Availability required for at least three weekdays between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Shifts are typically 8–10 hours (for example, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 AM–6:00 PM).

Role Overview

TLC Family Care is seeking dependable caregivers and babysitters to provide in-home support to families in the Jacksonville area. This position is for childcare and senior companionship or basic assistance when assigned. Caregivers are matched with families based on availability and experience, allowing you to provide consistent and meaningful support in a home setting.

With over 40 years of experience, TLC Family Care coordinates scheduling and placements so caregivers can focus on delivering attentive and responsible care.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will support children of various ages by creating a safe and engaging environment within the family’s home. Daily activities may include supervising play, assisting with meals and snacks, supporting naps and routines, and providing regular updates to parents or guardians.

Some assignments may also include light companionship or basic assistance for seniors, depending on family needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, based on the number of children in care:

  • $17 per hour for 1–2 children
  • $18 per hour for 3 children
  • $19 per hour for 4 children

Additional benefits include weekly direct deposit, paid time off accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, access to telehealth primary care services, and eligibility for a 401(k) with employer match after 1 year and 1,000 hours worked. Referral incentives and certain travel-related reimbursements may be available when applicable. Ongoing support from the scheduling team is provided.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of childcare or caregiving experience (such as nannying, babysitting, or daycare)
  • Two professional childcare references
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Availability for at least three weekdays within the required time frame
  • Commitment of at least three months
  • Authorization to work in the United States
