Silver Spring Personal Care Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/CNA or PCA to join our senior living community. The Caregiver/CNA or PCA provides essential hands-on care and support to residents, assisting with daily activities to promote independence, transfers, ambulation, comfort, and well-being. This role requires kindness, patience, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
- Aid with meal service and feeding as needed, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition.
- Monitor resident's conditions and report any changes in health, behavior, or well-being to nursing staff.
- Assist with transferring and positioning residents safely using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Support residents with social engagement and companionship to enhance their overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including vital signs and daily observations.
- Follow infection control, safety, and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Respond promptly and compassionately to resident's call bells and requests for assistance.
- Assist in keeping resident rooms, common areas, and equipment clean and organized.
- Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate, patient and dedicated to providing care to seniors.
- Physical ability to life, move and assist residents as needed
- Caregiving experience and/or current CNA certificate in Pennsylvania
