Position Title: In HomeCare Aide
Location: Tracy/Livermore/Stockton

Reports to: In HomeCare Aide Supervisor
Position Summary
As a HomeCare Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of clients by providing personalized, compassionate care in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, provide companionship, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients, primarily those who are elderly, disabled, or chronically ill. This position requires a commitment to improving the quality of life for each client while adhering to all state regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
● Personal Care Assistance:
○ Help clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
○ Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and ensuring proper nutrition.
● Health Monitoring:
○ Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the supervisor.
○ Assist with medication reminders, following the care plan as directed by healthcare professionals.
● Household Support:
○ Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing the client’s living space.
○ Assist with grocery shopping, meal planning, and other errands.
Companionship and Emotional Support:
Provide companionship, engage clients in conversation, and support social and recreational activities.
Offer emotional support and build a trusting, respectful relationship with clients and their families.
● Safety and Emergency Response:
○ Ensure the client’s home environment is safe, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
○ Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, following established procedures and protocols.
● Documentation and Compliance:
○ Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided, client activities, and any incidents or observations.
○ Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations, including maintaining confidentiality and client privacy.
Qualifications:
● Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
● Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred but not required.
● Licensing: Must be registered as a HomeCare Aide with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and fill out an acknowledgment of requirements to report suspected abuse.
● Training: Completion of required training, including CPR and First Aid certification.
● Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
● Health Requirements: Must complete a tuberculosis (TB) test and provide proof of clearance.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
Working Conditions:
● Work is performed in the client’s home, which may vary in conditions.
● May require travel between clients’ homes, particularly for those working with multiple clients.
● Work hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the client’s needs.

Travel: Employees are expected to take shifts in surrounding areas. Employees must be willing to travel 25 or miles to surrounding areas.
