In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and hygiene to promote independence and comfort.
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Monitor vital signs, record health data using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and report any changes to nursing staff promptly.
  • Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as catheter care, tube feeding, and basic physiology or anatomy-related procedures under supervision or as trained.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, assisting with emergency responses, and ensuring all safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care using medical terminology and understanding of medical records management.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and tube feeding.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient information.
  • Experience in caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is a strong plus.
  • Background in medical office settings or acute care environments that involve handling medical records and understanding healthcare workflows.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals who have disabilities or require specialized memory or hospice care support.

Pay: From $16.25 per hour
