Caregiver/Med Tech day shift 6am-2pm Sunday-Thursday

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to seniors in need of assistance with daily living activities. This is a residential group home with 10 private rooms . Staff to resident ratio is 1:5. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities and possess a strong understanding of patient care practices. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering both physical and emotional support in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Recognize and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring them safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans that meet the specific needs of each client.
• Offer direct support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their dignity and independence are respected.
• Meal preparation and serving.

Experience

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with home care practices and assisted living environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medication administration, and patient monitoring techniques is preferred, but with the right candidate we will pay for training.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy when working with seniors are crucial for success in this role.
