Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure residents’ health status is maintained
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies to promote comfort and safety
- Support residents in assisted living or long-term care settings by helping with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities, health updates, and incident reports efficiently
- Engage in behavior management techniques to support residents’ emotional well-being and social interaction needs
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care environments such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Certification or experience in first aid and emergency response procedures
- Ability to operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility safely
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities
- Valid driver’s license for community-based home & community care or transportation needs

Pay: $17.00 - $20.26 per hour
