Caregiver/MedTech Supervisor

We are a family-owned, family-run Assisted Living & Memory Care facility serving the Venice area! We've been in business since 2009 and are looking to add a team member to oversee our care team! We are looking for someone to oversee all daily care operations as it relates to both our residents and our staff. The position reports directly to the Resident Care Coordinator and the Administrator while overseeing the entire Care Department.

The ideal candidate for us is someone who has experience working in healthcare related field with seniors that is looking for growth in the senior living space. Prior experience in a management setting is required with a preference in healthcare. Experience with seniors and cognitive impairments is a plus.

In summary, the Care Manager will be an advocate for our elderly residents to ensure care is properly being provided by supervising the direct care staff in their daily responsibilities. Please note, this is an active/working position where we expect the Care Manager to be hands-on with residents and monitoring conditions through the work day along with helping if care staff need help.

Responsibilities include:

Assist in preparing the staff schedule, including updates to all facility schedules as necessary including covering call-offs.

Communicate with care staff on a continuous basis to address resident and staff concerns.

Monitoring time clock data to ensure staff are reporting to work on time.

Complete resident room checks daily and follow-up with responsible staff if any deficiencies noted.

Execute training program for all new caregivers.

Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new care staff.

Audit and monitor medication carts to ensure medications are distributed, stored, reordered, and documented properly.

Collaborate with Resident Care Coordinator on residents that require special attention and monitoring with reports of observations given frequently.

Maintain department inventory and ordering of supplies on a routine basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
