Caregiver/Personal Assistant/Companion

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance. Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
• Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Skills

• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and empathy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for clients’ needs.
• Experience in long-term care or group home settings is preferred but not required.
• Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients.
• Excellent patient observation skills to monitor health changes effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and team members.
