Responsibilities

• Assist seniors with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s and dementia by implementing specialized care techniques
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols
• Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safe transfers and prevent injuries
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans that promote residents' health and happiness

Requirements

• Prior experience in senior or home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing training is supported
• Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a home or facility setting
