Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and dignity
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
• Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
• Perform medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, and other basic nursing tasks under supervision or according to scope of practice
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and records using systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and privacy laws
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans and communicate changes in condition effectively

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care procedures such as medication administration and vital signs monitoring
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; ability to accurately document medical records and procedures
• Certification or training in caregiving roles; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care
• Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
