About the Position

DS Logistics is looking for a dependable, professional, and hardworking Cargo Van Driver to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time work with the ability to earn additional income over time.

Most drivers have regular weekly routes. From time to time, there may also be opportunities to pick up additional routes or deliveries based on business needs and your availability.

Typical Duties

• Cardboard recycling routes
• Commingle recycling routes
• Commercial pickups and deliveries
• Local cargo van deliveries
• Additional logistics assignments as available

You will be driving a company cargo van throughout Washington, DC, Baltimore, and surrounding areas.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday availability required
• Baltimore routes typically begin around 6:00 AM
• Washington, DC routes typically begin around 11:00 AM
• Most routes are completed by late morning or early afternoon

Additional work may occasionally be available outside of normal route hours for interested drivers.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned routes safely and efficiently
• Load and unload materials
• Communicate throughout the workday
• Follow company procedures and safety guidelines
• Treat company vehicles with care and professionalism
• Report any issues immediately
• Return company vehicles clean and in good condition

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record and safe driving habits (Required – No Exceptions)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a background check
• Experience driving cargo vans or similar-sized vehicles preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from Laurel, MD
• Smartphone with reliable service
• Comfortable using GPS/navigation apps
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Strong communication skills
• Professional attitude and prompt communication
• Dependable and consistently on time

Consistent attendance and communication are essential. Reliability is valued more than previous industry experience.

Work Environment

This position involves:

• Working around dumpsters and loading areas
• Handling cardboard and commingle recycling materials
• Exposure to dust, debris, and typical commercial waste environments

This is an active, hands-on position and is not an office job.
