Caring and Enthusiastic Live-In Nanny for Intentional Family of Five

BWLI: Caring and Enthusiastic Live-In Nanny for Intentional Family of Five

Description:

A loving, high-integrity family seeks a supportive partner to help guide B7, G5, and B1 through their daily rhythms and growth.

LOCATION

North Brentwood, Tennessee (Old Hickory and Granny White Pike area)

THE FAMILY

This family of five leads with intention in everything they do. Both parents work demanding travel-heavy roles within global companies, but treasure their work-from-home capabilities when not on the go, which allow them to be present for distraction-free moments with their three children. B7 is athletic, creative, and innovative. He's in first grade now, channeling his boundless energy into soccer, baseball, tennis, and elaborate building projects with Legos and Magnatiles. G5 is his spirited counterpart who loves to sing and dance. Where her big brother needs time to warm up to new ideas, she flows effortlessly into whatever comes next. She attends full-day Montessori school. B1 rounds out the crew as a sweet baby who is active and loves the one-on-one engagement he gets when his big siblings are in school.

They are seeking an integral member of their parenting team who will be there full time and help their worlds keep turning smoothly. This is a family who channels passion and purpose into their parenting, emphasizing emotional intelligence, curiosity, and resilience. They practice "supported struggle," allowing their children to work through challenges independently before stepping in. But here's what matters most: they need someone who brings genuine warmth and builds strong relationships with their kids. These children need to know you're on their team no matter what, that you believe in them and are supporting them with love through every struggle. It's the balance of being their biggest fan while also setting clear boundaries and empowering them to make their own choices. Mindset is everything here.

G5 and B1 have a genetic condition that can occasionally cause balance issues and, very rarely, seizures. This does not affect G5's day-to-day life and she is thriving. The parents will discuss this in detail with the right candidate.

The family has no pets and cannot accommodate pets of a live-in caregiver.

THE ROLE

This position is about becoming a true extension of this family. When the children are home (mornings, afternoons, school breaks, and summers), you'll focus on fostering their development through activities that promote learning, emotional intelligence, and independence. When all three children are in school/daytime programs in the future, your days will flow between the bookends of morning and afternoon routines, school days off, and summer breaks. During school hours, you'll flex seamlessly into more household management tasks, staying organized and proactive with your time.

With B1, you'll provide attentive care and help him meet milestones through developmentally appropriate activities at home and eventually in the community. With the older two, you'll tag-team morning routines with mom and dad and handle school drop-offs, then spend afternoons and evenings engaging all three kids in playtime, puzzles, crafts, reading, imaginative narration, and dress-up. Driving to school, camps, and extracurriculars will be needed, during which time the live-in housekeeper generally takes the youngest. You'll prepare simple, healthy family dinners (based on a whole-food diet), plus breakfast prep and packed lunches for the children. You'll maintain the structured routines essential to this family's rhythm, weaving manners and positive behaviors into everyday conversations. Setting calm boundaries, communicating effectively with the children, and remaining adaptable through transitions are all part of the flow. Child-related tasks include organizing spaces, managing children's laundry, building grocery lists, dinner cleanup, and tidying. You'll be proactive with your time, communicating with service providers working in the home and taking on additional tasks that improve the family's overall wellbeing. Occasional travel with the family and infrequent overnight care when both parents travel without children are also part of the role.

As B1 gets older, he will start a part-time Montessori program and the hours may adjust to closer to 50 per week with strong time management and organization. The ideal fit will grow with this family and adjust when and where it's needed as their needs change slightly.

YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF…

  • You're proactive, intuitive, and adaptable when schedules shift
