Position Title: Carpenter

Department: Operations / Maintenance

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Foreman

Job Purpose

The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing wooden structures, furniture, fixtures, and fittings according to specifications. The role requires precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, or technical instructions.

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, plywood, and other materials.

Construct, install, and repair furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, partitions, and frameworks.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines safely.

Ensure high-quality finishing, fitting, and polishing of wooden items.

Inspect and repair damaged structures or fixtures as required.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.

Follow all company safety standards and client requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a carpenter.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

Knowledge of different wood types, laminates, and finishing techniques.

Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

Team player with attention to detail.

Working Conditions

Site-based work (indoor and outdoor depending on projects).

Standard duty hours with possible overtime as required.

Must follow safety regulations and wear PPE at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,200.00 per month
