Job Title: Carpenter

Job Summary:

A Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures on construction sites across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring work meets local building codes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to determine specifications and requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, frameworks, partitions, and other wooden fixtures in buildings.
• Repair or replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures.
• Build and install formwork for concrete foundations and other structural components.
• Ensure all carpentry work complies with safety standards and UAE building codes.
• Collaborate with site engineers, foremen, and other construction workers to complete tasks efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (circular saws, drills, jointers).
• Strong knowledge of materials, carpentry techniques, and construction safety standards.
• Good physical fitness and stamina.
• Attention to detail and high level of craftsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade Certificate or Diploma in Carpentry or General Construction.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• Familiarity with carpentry work for high-rise, villa, or commercial projects.
• Valid UAE work permit or transferable visa (for job applicants).
• Understanding of UAE labor and safety regulations.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position on active construction sites.
• Work is primarily outdoors and may involve long hours, including weekends or night shifts.
• Must use PPE (personal protective equipment) such as helmets, gloves, and safety boots.
• Exposure to dust, noise, and various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED10.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Carpentry in a construction site: 8 years (Required)
