As a
Carpenter Apprentice, you'll learn side-by-side with experienced carpenters on residential projects, from framing to finishes. You'll support site setup, material handling, and task execution while developing the skills to take on more responsibility. This is a hands-on training role with a clear path to Lead Carpenter and beyond.
Responsibilities
Assist with framing, exterior trim/siding, window & door installs, decking, interior trim, cabinets, and finishes.
Stage materials, keep tools organized, and help verify quantities to avoid downtime.
Read basic plans/measurements; follow written and verbal directions from leads and managers.
Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites; practice daily safety habits.
Use hand and power tools under supervision; care for company tools/equipment.
Document progress (photos/notes) and flag issues early with suggested solutions.
Uphold NEPA Builders' workmanship and client-service standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; strong basic math/measuring skills.
Experience with hand and power tools (school/shop, summer work, or field) preferred.
0 to 2 years in construction/carpentry, trade-school background a plus.
Team-oriented, dependable, coachable, and eager to learn.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varied conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobs across NEPA.
Pay & Benefits
Full-time, W-2 employee role
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour (based on skills/experience)
Overtime paid per Pennsylvania law
