Carpenter (Expert)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter (Expert) to join our maintenance and facility management team. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in woodwork, formwork, furniture fixing, and finishing carpentry. Knowledge of glass work will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry works including formwork, shuttering, and wooden structures
• Install and repair doors, windows, cabinets, wardrobes, and furniture
• Carry out finishing carpentry works with high-quality workmanship
• Assist in glass-related works such as glass partition support, fixing frames, and coordination with glass installation teams
• Read and interpret shop drawings, layouts, and technical plans
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials
• Install fixtures, fittings, hardware, and accessories accurately
• Carry out repair, maintenance, and renovation carpentry works
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and finishing of carpentry installations
• Follow site safety rules and quality standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Carpenter
• Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
• Experience in formwork, shuttering, and finishing carpentry
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements
• Good understanding of construction safety practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects
• Knowledge of glass work, glass partitions, or aluminum & glass coordination (added advantage)
• Experience with gypsum works or modular furniture is a plus
