Role Overview

The Carpenter will work closely with designers, project managers, and clients to produce and install custom millwork, cabinetry, furniture, and interior architectural details. This role requires precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of interior design aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and install custom cabinetry, built-ins, furniture, and interior fixtures
• Read and interpret design drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with designers to ensure accuracy and design intent
• Perform on-site installations with attention to detail and finish quality
• Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely
• Measure, cut, and shape materials including wood, composites, and specialty finishes
• Maintain high standards for craftsmanship and project deadlines
• Conduct repairs, adjustments, and refinishing as needed
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter, millworker, or cabinetmaker (interior design or construction industry preferred)
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and hardware
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical plans
• Proficiency with woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and finishing quality
• Ability to lift and handle materials and work on-site as needed

Preferred

• Experience working in an interior design or architectural firm
• Knowledge of custom fabrication, veneering, or specialty finishes
• Understanding of installation requirements for high-end residential/commercial interiors
