Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Groundskeeper to support the upkeep and enhancement of our brewery and beer garden. This hands-on role focuses primarily on refinishing wooden furniture, building custom outdoor planters, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the grounds. The majority of work is performed outdoors in a dynamic manufacturing and hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry & Woodworking

• Refinish, sand, stain, seal, and repair wooden tables, benches, bars, and other outdoor furniture
• Design and build custom outdoor planters and other structures
• Perform minor structural repairs and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all woodwork is weather-resistant, safe, and visually appealing

Groundskeeping & Outdoor Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beer garden grounds
• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and seasonal upkeep
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance around property
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems and drainage areas
• Remove debris, manage waste, and keep pathways clear and safe
• Assist with seasonal setup and breakdown of outdoor areas

Qualifications

• Proven carpentry experience, particularly with finish carpentry.
• Experience refinishing and restoring wooden furniture
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Basic landscaping and groundskeeping knowledge
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and forklift safely

· Review, maintain and submit records regarding time and materials expended on projects.

· Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a forklift.

· Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean and orderly condition.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to Occasionally travel between 2 locations in Melbourne and Titusville is a PLUS

Work Environment

• Active, hands-on role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and use of tools

· This position will require your ability to work in a warehouse environment as well as outside. You must be able to tolerate temperatures above 90 degrees F on a regular basis for extended periods.

· This position requires that you wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Full or Part-time positions available. Starting pay scale $18-$23 /hr depending on prior experience.
