Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter Helper / Laborer, where your energy and enthusiasm will contribute to building and restoring structures with precision and care. In this role, you will assist skilled carpenters and tradespeople by preparing materials, handling tools, and performing essential labor tasks that keep projects moving forward. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction, including framing, trim carpentry, concrete forming, and restoration work.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
• Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
• Support framing activities including wood framing, and drywall installation
• Help with installation of fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, and trim components
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, concrete forms, rebar, and other building supplies
• Read blueprints or schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate work
• Support restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold removal, plastering, stucco application, or siding replacement

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction or related industries is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
• Familiarity with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws), and basic construction techniques
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is a plus but not required
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
• Valid driver’s license may be preferred depending on project locations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
