Key Responsibilities

• Read and Interpret Designs: Study blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements and specifications.
• Measure and Cut Materials: Precisely measure, mark, cut, and shape wood and other materials using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Fabricate and Assemble: Build custom cabinets, shelves, and other wooden items in a workshop or on-site, ensuring all components fit securely.
• Install Fixtures: Fit and install base and wall units, countertops, cornices, plinths, and other decorative trim and molding in the client's home.
• Integrate Appliances and Utilities: Cut out spaces for sinks, cookers, and other appliances, working around hidden pipes and cables.
• Finish and Detail: Perform high-quality finishing work, including sanding, sealing, and installing hardware like handles and hinges.
• Liaise with Clients and Trades: Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and other tradespeople (e.g., plumbers, electricians) to ensure the project runs smoothly and meets all code requirements.
• Maintain Safety and Quality: Follow all health and safety guidelines and local building codes, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
