Carpenter / Remodeler

Looking to hire carpenter for mainly kitchen and bathroom remodels. Majority of jobs are in Wheaton and surrounding areas, typical hours M-F 8AM-4PM. Candidate must have electrical rough & finish experience, will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and ability to receive and follow given feedback. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A W2 POSITION, this is a 1099 POSITION. Responsible for paying your own social security, medicare, and income taxes

• MUST HAVE ELECTRICAL ROUGH & FINISH EXPERIENCE
• Loading/unloading tools and materials
• Setting up/assembling equipment and tools
• Operating tools and equipment
• Jobsite preparation, maintenance, and clean-up
• May require heavy lifting (in excess of 75 lbs), prolonged periods of standing, bending & twisting
• Follow drawings and plans to meet the designs, needs and requests of the customers

Job Requirements:

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Tool ownership to complete full remodels
• Respect for customers, their home, properties, and their wishes
• Clean appearance
• Punctual
• Confidence and ability to complete capable tasks without supervision
• Ability to follow instruction, receive feedback, and is a strong communicator
• NOTE: THIS IS NOT A W2 POSITION, this is a contract (1099 position). Responsible for paying your own social security, medicare, and income taxes.
• Opportunities for compensation review after 6 months, potential tool stipend​
• Personal Liability insurance policy $1,000,000.00 per occurrence/$2,000,000.00 aggregate) will be provided in candidates name and paid for by ReMARKable Carpentry and Contracting LLC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
