Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Carpenter Technicians to join our growing team. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with a builder’s mindset and a background in construction, restoration, or other skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and service various types of doors:
• Hollow metal
• Glass aluminum
• Herculite
• Wood
• Perform glass and window installation and maintenance
• Work with door hardware: closers, continuous hinges, pivots, and individual hinges
• Repair, demo, and install wooden and metal frames and trim
• Provide accurate job quotes to management
• Complete job tickets detailing materials, time, and work performed
• Clean up service sites and ensure quality workmanship
• Communicate part orders and upsell additional products/services when appropriate

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Respond promptly to dispatches and maintain professionalism with customers and management
• Ability to work under frequent time pressure
• Proficient in using necessary tools and equipment
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more (occasional assisted lifting over 51 lbs)
• Able to stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach with hands and arms
• Manual dexterity required for operating equipment
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures up to 7.5 hours per shift
• Properly manage parts usage and inventory
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience during service and repair
• Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices
• Ability to inspect products and identify root causes of service issues
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Safely operate company service vehicle
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and apply new concepts
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Professional appearance (uniform provided)
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $20.00 – $35.00/hour (based on experience; negotiable for the right candidate)
• Probationary Period: 90 days
• Incentives: Performance-based incentives for exceeding daily goals
