Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures primarily using wood, metal, and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of framing techniques, blueprint reading, and various construction methods. The Framer will play a critical part in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of building projects, working on diverse sites including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Duties
- Erect metal buildings and install framing components according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to prepare foundations and structural elements
- Execute frame carpentry including woodworking, trim carpentry, and siding installation
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently
- Conduct masonry work such as stucco application and plastering as needed
- Install roofing systems and perform siding work to complete exterior finishes
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans
- Assist with remodeling, restoration projects, and other construction site tasks
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to support construction activities
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times on the job site
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on framing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry
- Knowledge of metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and stucco application
- Ability to operate power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Experience with metal stud framing, drywall installation, plastering, or restoration projects is a plus
- Construction management experience is advantageous but not required
- Valid experience in welding or working with heavy equipment operation is beneficial
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship
