Carpenter's Assistant

Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience

Meridian DesignBuild, Ltd. is seeking a dependable Carpenter's Assistant to support our lead carpenter and project team on residential remodeling projects throughout the Greater Charlotte area.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a clean and organized job site, and is interested in learning about the residential construction and remodeling industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead carpenter with daily construction activities
• Load, unload, and organize materials on job sites
• Pick up and deliver materials from suppliers
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Protect finished surfaces and completed work
• Assist with demolition, framing, trim, and general carpentry tasks
• Perform punch-list and warranty work as directed
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely
• Help maintain company tools, equipment, and job site organization

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Basic construction experience preferred but not required
• Basic hand tools required
