Job Description:

As a Carrier Representative, you will join a fast-paced, results-driven team responsible for securing reliable carrier capacity at competitive rates and ensuring freight moves smoothly and on time. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is hungry to learn, eager to prove themselves, and energized by constant problem-solving.

Carrier sales is dynamic by nature. You’ll pivot frequently between priorities, negotiate with a wide range of personalities, and make quick decisions that directly impact our customers and carriers. Success in this role comes from grit, resilience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust quickly. As your carrier network grows, so does your responsibility and earning potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the smooth movement of shipments by managing carrier capacity, monitoring transit, and resolving issues proactively
  • Negotiate rates and secure capacity that meets specific load requirements and service expectations
  • Build and maintain carrier relationships through cold outreach, referrals, and consistent follow-up
  • Communicate daily with owner-operators, dispatchers, and drivers to manage active freight and future opportunities
  • Maintain a high level of daily activity (75–100+ carrier touchpoints/day) to secure capacity and grow your network
  • Deliver exceptional service to both carriers and internal teams by being responsive, solutions-oriented, and dependable
  • Accurately enter and manage shipment details in our freight software to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

We are open to early-career and entry-level candidates. Prior logistics experience is not required. What matters most is demonstrated work ethic, coachability, and the ability to perform in a fast-moving environment.

You might be a great fit if you bring:

  • A strong body of work that demonstrates commitment and follow-through (this could include an exemplary high school or college record, athletics, leadership roles, work experience, or meaningful involvement outside the classroom)
  • The ability to stay focused, organized, and productive in a high-volume, deadline-driven role
  • Confidence and resilience to negotiate, handle rejection, and work through challenging conversations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to adapt as priorities shift throughout the day
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
  • Attention to detail and pride in doing things the right way
  • Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required

Education:

College degree preferred but not required. We value intelligence, work ethic, and results over formal credentials.
