Cartage Dispatcher

Job Summary

Local Cartage company with over 40 years in business is looking for experienced Cartage Dispatchers with minimum 3 years experience. The position coordinates multiple Box trucks for Local LTL pick up and deliveries, Specials, Hot Shots, etc. . Computer skills and a working knowledge of the general and surrounding areas is a must ! Experience with dispatch software is essential. Preferably CROWN Data systems. Pay will be determined based on relative experience. Responsibilities and Duties

The position enters, coordinates, schedules and dispatches work to the contractor drivers Via Crown Data TMS system. Work is dispatched through TMS Mobile Data Units. Email correspondence with customer base to include status, quotations and driver monitoring and paperwork updates.

Computer skills , customer interaction via telephone and email.
