Position Summary

Casa de Salud is seeking a team of social workers and/or licensed professional counselors who can provide therapy/counseling services and supervision at Casa de Salud, working together with clinicians in areas of integrative Primary Care, Addictions Care, Acupuncture, Reiki, Traditional Healing, Massage Therapy, Needle Exchange, Case Management, and more. Experience and interest in working with monolingual Spanish speaking patients, with patients in treatment and recovery for addictions, and with queer/transgender/gender nonconforming patients, are strongly encouraged.

This position provides clinical services such as assessments and diagnosis, psychotherapy services, treatment planning, crisis intervention services. Position requires applicants to be able to have independent clinical decision making as well as ability to work in a collaborative environment among Casa de Salud staff.

Potential supervision responsibilities may include supervision of Masters in Social Work interns or supervision of Certified Peer Support Workers in the Strong Roots opioid addictions recovery program. Clinicians have flexibility to develop their own practice style and focus areas based on patient and community needs. Clinicians also spend ample time with each patient. Clinicians are invited to build community responsive projects aligned with the clinic’s vision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hours: This is a part-time to full-time employed position.
  • Experience required: Minimum of 2 years post-masters clinical experience
  • Licensure requirements: LMSW, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform high quality, independent therapy/counseling support to patients at Casa de Salud
  • Perform assessment and diagnosis of a wide range of behavioral health conditions
  • Provide treatment planning, independently as well as in coordination with case managers and medical providers
  • Support patients with crisis intervention
  • Provide supervision, potentially, to CPSWs and/or MSW interns
  • Model professional behavior and performance as measured by punctuality, integrity, consistency and mastery of duties and responsibilities.
  • Care for patients, who at Casa de Salud are primarily uninsured or have Medicaid
  • Document encounters promptly and with excellence
  • Possess or develop fluency in Spanish for care of patients
  • Work with medical director and clinicians to create clinical processes at Casa de Salud
  • Work with medical director, clinicians, case managers, and apprentices to improve ecosystem of care for patients at Casa de Salud, and those needing care elsewhere
  • Work on site at Casa de Salud, in Albuquerque or Los Lunas (or both), or via telehealth
  • Support and champion Medicaid value based care, team work with community health workers, and team work with case managers at Casa de Salud
  • Treat patients at Casa de Salud with the utmost dignity, respect, and care
  • Strongly reinforce professional boundaries with patients, both for care/safety of patients and as a model to staff and apprentices
  • Possess an openness for mind/body/energy based healing modalities and benefits to our patients.

Hours, Compensation, and Benefits

This is a part-time to full-time employed position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
