Northstead Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented EDI Analyst & Case Builder to support our growing benefits enrollment and engagement platform across Northstead, Forza, and ClickEnroll.
This hybrid role combines data integration (EDI/API), case configuration, and campaign execution. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical bridge between technology, enrollment operations, and engagement strategy—ensuring seamless data exchange, accurate case builds, and high-impact employee participation.
This is a high-visibility, revenue-impacting role responsible not only for system accuracy, but also for driving enrollment engagement and participation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. EDI & Data Integration (Primary Focus)
- Design, implement, and manage EDI integrations with carriers, TPAs, payroll, and HRIS systems
- Interpret and map LDEx, carrier-specific, and custom data schemas
- Build and maintain eligibility, enrollment, billing, and reconciliation feeds
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, failed transmissions, and reconciliation gaps
- Coordinate file specifications, formats, and delivery cadence with partners
- Support API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) where applicable
- Ensure data integrity across ClickEnroll, carrier systems, and TPAs
2. Case Building & Configuration
- Configure employer groups within ClickEnroll (ExpressCase, Enroll, Select, Engage)
- Build and maintain:
- Product configurations (Life, LTC, CI, Accident, HI)
- Eligibility rules and class structures
- Rate tables, underwriting logic, and plan designs
- Employer/employee contribution strategies
- Configure enrollment workflows (self-service and assisted models)
- Align all configurations with downstream EDI and reporting requirements
3. Campaign Management & Messaging
- Build and deploy multi-channel enrollment campaigns using ClickEnroll Engage:
- Email campaigns
- SMS campaigns
- Digital postcards and landing pages
- Configure audience segmentation based on:
- Demographics
- Prior enrollment behavior
- Product ownership and eligibility
- Implement automated drip campaigns and triggered messaging
- Ensure all messaging aligns with client branding, compliance, and benefit strategy
- Coordinate campaign timing with enrollment windows and case launches
4. Participation Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze real-time engagement and participation metrics, including:
- Open rates, click-through rates
- Appointment scheduling activity
- Self-service vs. assisted enrollment rates
- Track conversion metrics across campaigns and enrollment channels
- Identify trends and optimize campaigns to improve:
- Participation rates
- Product mix and cross-sell opportunities
- Generate reports for internal teams and clients on:
- Campaign performance
- Enrollment outcomes
- Engagement effectiveness
- Leverage data insights to recommend continuous improvement strategies
5. Implementation & Deployment
- Support full implementation lifecycle:
- Requirements gathering
- Data intake validation
- Build, QA, and deployment
- Execute rapid deployments (ExpressCase) for eligible groups
- Coordinate testing cycles including UAT and carrier validation
- Ensure alignment between case configuration, campaign setup, and data feeds
6. Data Quality, Reconciliation & Reporting
- Monitor ongoing EDI transmissions and enrollment activity
- Perform billing and enrollment reconciliation across systems
- Investigate and resolve data mismatches and enrollment discrepancies
- Maintain audit trails and reporting for compliance and accuracy
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as liaison between:
- Technology teams
- Enrollment operations
- Sales and account management
- Carriers and TPAs
- Support client onboarding and ongoing service delivery
- Provide guidance on integration feasibility, campaign strategy, and system capabilities
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in:
- EDI, data integration, benefits enrollment, or HR technology platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- ANSI 834, eligibility/billing feeds, and reconciliation processes
- Experience with:
- Enrollment or benefits administration platforms
- Proficiency in:
- Data mapping and transformation
- Excel (advanced), CSV/XML/JSON
- Experience managing or supporting digital campaigns or engagement platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LDEx standards and voluntary benefits carriers
- Familiarity with API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Background in ClickEnroll or similar platforms (Selerix, Employee Navigator, etc.)
- Experience with marketing automation, segmentation, and analytics tools
- Understanding of insurance products (Life, LTC, CI, Accident, Hospital Indemnity)
