Case Management Supervisor

Title: Case Management Supervisor — Family Residential Shelter (Trauma-Informed Leadership)

Location: Bond Hill (Cincinnati, OH)— Bethany House Services

The Role We’re seeking a dynamic Case Management Supervisor to lead our case management team, oversee high-quality services for families, and drive measurable outcomes. You’ll supervise Case Managers, manage a caseload of 10-12 families, ensure program compliance, and partner with shelter leadership, direct service staff, and community resources to deliver client-centered, strength-based support.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead with HEART: Supervise and support a team of case managers to deliver trauma-informed, client-centered services that promote housing stability and well-being.
  • Grow People, Grow Impact: Provide regular supervision, coaching, and professional development; cultivate a positive, inclusive shelter culture and strong team morale.
  • Optimize Service Delivery: Facilitate weekly team meetings, coordinate caseload distribution, and strategize to prevent burnout and ensure equitable support.
  • Ensure Excellence: Review and sign off on service plans, case notes, and discharge plans; maintain quality, consistency, and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work with shelter staff, housing partners, employers, and service providers to secure resources and expand opportunities for families.
  • Monitor & Improve: Track timeliness and effectiveness of interventions, identify barriers, and implement corrective action; use data to inform improvements.
  • Champion Accessibility: Ensure culturally responsive practices and accessibility for clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Compliance and Quality: Maintain HIPAA-compliant records, SOPs, and reporting for funders and regulators; conduct chart audits and quality assurance.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: Prepare metrics and reports for leadership; support continuous quality improvement initiatives in case management.

Who You Are

  • Licensed professional: LCSW, LSW with supervisory designation, or equivalent licensed case manager (Ohio). Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent required.
  • Experienced: Minimum 2 years in case management, preferably in homeless or family shelter settings; proven trauma-informed, family-centered practice; leadership and supervision experience.
  • Skilled Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication, advocacy, crisis intervention, and de-escalation abilities.
  • Data-Savvy: Comfort with case management systems and data-driven decision-making; ability to review, sign off, and ensure accuracy.
  • Resourceful Problem-Solver: Creative, flexible thinker with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Culturally Competent: Deep commitment to anti-oppression, cultural humility, and equitable service delivery.
  • Collaborative: Comfortable working with shelter staff, housing specialists, service providers, and community partners.
  • Flexible: Willingness to work some evening hours; comfortable in a fast-paced shelter environment.

Qualifications Required:

  • LCSW, LSW with supervisory designation, or equivalent licensed case manager (Ohio)
  • MSW from an accredited program
  • 2+ years of progressive case management experience; homeless/family shelter context preferred but applicable experiences considered
  • Demonstrated trauma-informed care and family-centered services
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of housing stability strategies, HUD resources, and community services
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, advocacy, and crisis intervention skills
  • Proficiency with case management and data systems; comfort with data-driven decisions
