Position Overview
Richman Family Services. LLC is seeking a dependable and compassionate Case Manager to provide Socially Necessary Services (BSS) to children and families involved with the West Virginia child welfare system. Services are delivered pursuant to Bureau for Social Services (BSS) referrals and authorized through the Administrative Services Organization (ASO) under Utilization Management (UM) guidelines.

The Family Support Specialist delivers structured, skill-based, and goal-oriented support designed to strengthen protective capacities, promote child safety, and assist families in achieving individualized case plan objectives in accordance with ASO service authorizations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year Degree in Social Services or related field (psychology, human services, family & child studies, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Proof of active auto insurance
  • Ability to pass WV CARES background screening
  • Ability to maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
  • Ability to manage and balance scheduling of selected case load to ensure timely delivery of service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver services strictly within ASO SNS UM authorized service hours and approved scope.
  • Provide structured hands-on support to families in home and community settings
  • Reinforce case plan objectives and safety expectations
  • Asist families in building practical life skills such as organization, scheduling, transportation plannings, and resource follow-through
  • Support caregivers in maintaining safe supervision and structured home environments
  • Observe and report child safety concerns in accordance with WV mandated reporting laws and RFS policy
  • Maintain professional boundaries and utilize strengths-based, trauma-informed approaches
  • Maintain consistent communication with BSS staff and RFS leadership

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

  • Complete detailed progress notes for each contact in accordance with ASO standards
  • Submit biweekly paperwork, including service verification documentation and required billing materials, by established RFS deadlines
  • Complete and submit a comprehensive monthly summary outlining service activities, progress toward goals, and observed barriers.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with ASO SNS Utilization Management guidelines

Work Environment

  • Community-based field position
  • Flexible scheduling within authorized service hours
  • Independent contractor (1099)

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
