Foster Care and Adoption Case Manager

Salary: $38,000
Location: 85% Remote

Job Summary:

Accompanied by God’s Love (AGL), a faith-based foster care and adoption agency, is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Foster Care and Adoption Case Manager. This position is responsible for supporting the safety, well-being, and permanency of children and youth in care while partnering with foster and adoptive families throughout their journey. The Case Manager coordinates services, monitors placements, facilitates communication among stakeholders, and ensures compliance with agency, state, and contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate is innovative, solution-focused, and committed to strengthening outcomes for children and families through quality service delivery and caregiver support. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish and able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with children, youth, families, caregivers, community partners, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in child welfare, foster care, adoption, case management, family preservation, or a related child-serving field. Experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma is strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Health or Human Services field.
  • 2 years' experience in foster care services or working with at-risk children.
  • Must be 21, hold a valid driver's license, and provide proof of auto insurance, registration, and inspection.
  • Must successfully pass background screenings and submit to pre-employment and random drug testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate services for children in foster care, including medical, therapeutic, and developmental support.
  • Develop and maintain individualized service plans that address each child's unique needs.
  • Guide prospective adoptive families through the adoption process, ensuring compliance with legal and agency requirements.
  • Conduct home visits and in-person meetings, with four office days per month, and attend court hearings and team meetings as required.
  • Work with the educational liaison to meet the needs of children, foster families, schools, and service providers.
  • Work with the Treatment Director and therapist for behavioral support to foster families, helping address and manage behavioral challenges.
  • Manage client documentation, ensuring that records are maintained accurately and in accordance with agency policies.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the agency’s mission and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in foster care or adoption case management.
  • Strong knowledge of child welfare policies, trauma-informed care, and behavioral management techniques.
  • Fluent English/Spanish is a must.
  • Strong writing and speaking skills are required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and attend in-office and court-related activities as required.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and software.
