Job Summary/Objective:

The Case Manager plays a pivotal role in our personal injury law firm, providing essential support to attorneys in the management and resolution of complex injury and wrongful death claims. This position involves overseeing cases related to motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and product liability matters. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the claims process, liability theories, and medical treatment protocols. With a strong focus on client communication, the Case Manager will ensure clients are well-informed and supported throughout their legal journey, contributing to positive outcomes for both clients and the firm.

Job Duties:

  • Opening and organization of all transfer files for our referral sources; including obtaining all retaining packets/documents
  • Initial communications and introductions with transfer clients as well as with referring attorneys.
  • Preparation of MVA Complaints, filings and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on case status and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Coordinate depositions, medical exams, and court appearances, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared.
  • Liaise with medical professionals, experts, and other external resources as needed.
  • Prepare case status reports for attorneys and clients, maintaining clear communication throughout.
  • Managing incoming correspondence. Scanning and forwarding to staff and/or handling teams.

Competencies & ability to:

  • Fluency in Spanish is essential; candidates must be able to speak, read, and write Spanish at a professional level.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; paralegal certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in personal injury law or litigation case management.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, including relevant statutes and court procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client service.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment and/or home office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. based on an eight-hour day. Position may require extra work hours and scheduled may be modified according to our operational needs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Computer skills: Proficient in MS Word desirable, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe, but willing to train
  • Filing documents with court, bookmarking.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
