Case Manager in Knoxville, TN

Our Daily Bread CACFP is a non-profit child nutrition advocacy agency that helps provide affordable, nutritious meals to children throughout Tennessee and Kentucky. As part of this mission, we sponsor over 600 childcare centers, daycare homes, and at-risk afterschool facilities in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Every day, we make a positive impact on the lives of children, nourishing their bodies and empowering their futures.

We are currently looking to add a Case Manager to our Clarksville office. Case Managers are the primary point-of-contact for child care educators enrolled in the CACFP. They are responsible for processing monthly CACFP claims, maintaining a strong line of communication with child care educators, and providing excellent customer service at every step of the claim process.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage assigned caseload, serving as the primary point-of-contact for these child care educators
  • Process claims monthly. Communicate with educators on assigned caseload to resolve any errors that can be fixed and maximize monthly reimbursements
  • Receive, log, scan, and file all paperwork for educators on assigned caseload, ensuring that all files are kept up-to-date
  • Contact and follow up with educators monthly regarding expired/expiring applications, licenses, and income eligibility & enrollment forms
  • Enter income eligibility & enrollment forms for all sites on assigned caseload in a timely manner
  • Review data on a monthly basis to ensure educators are receiving maximized reimbursements and correcting errors as needed
  • Log and share all communications with educators on assigned caseload
  • Communicate with Our Daily Bread Field Representatives/Program Monitors regarding changes to an educator’s file and/or educator needs weekly for upcoming monitoring review visits

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to understand and articulate the CACFP
  • Passion to serve child care educators, children and their families
  • Strong empathy for child care educators
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior Case Management or Early Childhood Education experience considered a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
