About the Role
Our Pasadena office is hiring an experienced Case Manager / Legal Assistant to handle a workers’ compensation caseload from start to finish. This position requires direct interaction with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). The right candidate will bring excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of the California workers’ compensation system, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation cases.
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, and WCAB staff.
- Review and analyze Medical-Legal reports.
- Draft basic letters, legal documents, and client correspondence.
- Support attorneys with case preparation, filing, and follow-ups.
- Assist with scheduling medical appointments and subpoenaing records.
Qualifications
- Required: Prior workers’ compensation legal experience (Applicants’/Claimants’ side).
- Strong knowledge of California workers’ compensation procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Pasadena, CA.
