Job Summary
Compassionate Care Inc. is seeking a Case Manager Supervisor/Therapist to provide clinical leadership and supervision for staff delivering behavioral health and family support services to children and families involved with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.
The Case Manager Supervisor/Therapist ensures services are delivered in accordance with DCS guidelines, agency policies, and evidence-based practices. This role provides supervision, case oversight, and program leadership to support Youths/families in achieving safety, stability, and long-term success.
The ideal candidate must be a professional with strong leadership skills and experience in child welfare, family preservation, and therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision
- Provide weekly supervision to Case Managers and family support staff.
- Review and approve clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress documentation.
- Ensure services align with DCS contract requirements and best practices.
- Provide guidance on complex cases, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
Case Management Oversight
- Monitor all assigned cases to ensure timely service delivery and youth progress.
- Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs), case staffing, and court proceedings when required.
- Coordinate care with DCS case managers, foster parents, schools, and other providers.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and service completion.
Staff Leadership and Development
- Supervise, coach, and mentor Case Managers staff and support staff.
- Conduct staff evaluations and performance reviews.
- Assist with training new team members.
- Promote a supportive, ethical, and trauma-informed work culture.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure all clinical documentation meets DCS, state, and agency standards.
- Monitor compliance with program policies and timelines.
- Support internal Quality Assurance, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies.
Community Collaboration
- Maintain collaborative relationships with:
- DCS case managers
- Schools and educational systems
- Mental health providers and medical providers
- Community agencies
- Serve as a primary liaison between Compassionate Care Inc. and DCS partners.
- Attend Providers meetings.
- Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Master’s Degree in one of the following:
- Social Work
- Counseling
Licensure (Preferred or Required)
One of the following Tennessee licenses preferred:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP)
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in:
- Behavioral health
- Child welfare
- Family preservation services
- Experience working with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Work Environment
- Combination of office, community, and home-based service delivery
- Occasional travel required to meet with families and community partners
- Participation in on-call or crisis response rotation may be required
