Case Manager Supervisor

Job Summary

The Case Manager Supervisor oversees the daily operations and performance of the Case Management team serving single adult men residing in a homeless shelter. The Case Manager Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to Case Managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that support clients in achieving stability and securing permanent housing. This role ensures compliance with agency policies, funder requirements, and applicable regulations while promoting best practices in case management and client care

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support Case Managers in the delivery of case management services to shelter residents.
  • Monitor Case Managers’ caseloads to ensure timely assessments, service plan development, and client follow-up.
  • Review and approve client service plans, housing plans, and case documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure Case Managers are assisting clients with housing applications, benefits enrollment, and referrals to appropriate services.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in managing complex client situations, including crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings with Case Managers to review performance, address challenges, and support professional development.
  • Monitor client progress toward housing placement and ensure housing placement goals are being met.
  • Collaborate with Housing Specialists, Program Directors, and other staff to coordinate client services and housing placement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, DHS or funder requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Conduct case file audits to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with program requirements.
  • Assist with program reporting requirements and provide updates to program leadership, as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, program meetings, and trainings.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new Case Management staff.
  • Address client grievances and assist in resolving client concerns related to services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field required.
  • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of case management supervisor experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working with single adult men in a shelter or housing setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and staff development skills.
  • Knowledge of housing resources, entitlement programs, and community-based services preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management systems.

Physical Requirements (Essential Functions)

This position requires the ability to move throughout the facility and perform tasks that may include:

  • Standing or sitting for extended periods
  • Bending, squatting, or reaching
  • Occasionally lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
