Full-time professional needed to promote early childhood social, emotional, and physical developmental health, assist families with accessing appropriate and available services, and provide support and advocacy as needed.
Responsibilities:

Promote universal screening of caregivers and their children.

Support individuals who are low-income or uninsured, those with chronic health conditions, with multiple social and economic stressors, underserved immigrants, victims of domestic violence, those impacted by mental health issues, alcohol and/or substance use disorder, and involved with the Division of Child Protection & Permanency.

Collaborate with community organizations to deliver effective services for infants, children, parents, and families.

Provide infant and early childhood mental health consultations and provide linkages to services, with special emphasis given to families requiring a plan of safe care.

Provide care coordination for families, research options, and provide advocacy and follow-up as needed.

Participate in regular quality improvement and evaluation activities, document and submit reports.

Assist in identifying gaps and barriers to services.

Manage family access portals and utilize the CNJ Link data system in the Connecting NJ Hub.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred, in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Early Childhood Education.

Experience in maternal-child health, infant/early childhood mental health, parent/family support, and/or related fields.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trusting relationships with families and partners.

Ability to translate complex MCH and early childhood concepts into parent-friendly language.

Awareness of cultural diversity and its impact on planning and provision of services.

Excellence in written and oral communication and the ability to translate complex concepts into parent-friendly language.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database functions.

Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills and ability to solve problems.

Full understanding of the roles of core MCH and early childhood partners.

Infant Mental Health Endorsed (IMH-E) or pursuing is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Spanish-speaking a plus.
