DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The position involves responsible for the direct supervision of a case management unit. The supervisor provides oversight to the individual caseworkers within that unit. Requirements include direct knowledge of laws and regulations which govern child welfare services to ensure the Unit is in compliance with all State and Federal regulations as well as Agency policies and procedures. The Casework Supervisor, at a minimum meets weekly with each individual caseworker to review active on-going in-home and placement cases, and gives guidance, suggestions, direction, instruction and advice with case planning and need for on-going services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:

• You must hold a valid PA driver's license
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,335.31 - $59,031.97 per year
