CASEWORKER- Children & Youth Services

The County of Adams Children and Youth agency is in search of new team members who resonate with our belief in the power of families and are dedicated to helping them achieve a more stable and healthier social, economic, and emotional state. This role will involve recommending services designed to protect children's well-being and maintain family unity whenever possible. MERIT HIRE

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree that includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice , or other related social sciences.
To be considered for a Caseworker 2, the candidate must have at least one year experience as a County Caseworker 1 with a certificate of direct service worker and a Bachelor's degree that includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social science; or one year experience of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency with a Bachelor's degree in a related field that includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or other related field.

License(s) and Certification(s): Must possess a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and current automobile insurance.

Clearances required to obtain prior to hire:

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 33)
Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check (Act 34)
FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 73)

Status: Full Time / 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are 8:00AM - 4:30PM with a half hour unpaid lunch, but may vary slightly.
Compensation: $21.92/ hour minimum to start, dependent upon experience
