Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cash Management Associate to join our financial services team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing cash flow processes, ensuring accurate account reconciliations, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. Duties
- Monitor daily cash positions and execute timely cash transfers to optimize liquidity across accounts
- Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate data entry and transaction posting
- Support compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by documenting procedures and conducting internal audits
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, or potential risks related to cash flow and account balances
- Collaborate with teams on revenue cycle management, including billing, collections, and payment processing
- Prepare journal entries and perform double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial information across various systems such as PeopleSoft or other ERP platforms
- Assist in audit preparations by providing detailed reports on account activity and transaction history
- Support medical billing processes, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and other healthcare-specific financial tasks when applicable
- Engage in negotiation with vendors or clients regarding payment terms or outstanding balances while maintaining excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with familiarity in corporate accounting practices
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and revenue cycle management
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures
- Experience with account reconciliation, analysis skills, and data entry accuracy using 10 key typing skills
- Familiarity with governmental or non-profit accounting standards is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette for customer service interactions
- Ability to interpret medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10 codes when relevant to healthcare finance roles
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail for effective account analysis and problem-solving
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a team environment
