Cashier (11, Ala Moana)

Job-Type: Part-Time (24+ hours)

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money
• often bag their customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store.
• assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas and may take “return” products back to proper shelf locations.
• Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials.
• Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
• Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
• General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
• Resolving service and product related customer service issues
• Providing outstanding customer service
• Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
• Abiding by all company policies and procedures
• Performing other duties and assignments as directed

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must successfully pass math test
• Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
• TB Clearance required
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements

Work Environment:

• Most duties performed within Front End Department
• Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, moderate to frequent lifting, bending, stretching, continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment
