Cashier

We are currently hiring a Cashier to support daily store operations and ensure customers have a smooth and positive checkout experience. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a Cashier, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service while accurately handling transactions and maintaining efficient front-end operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Checkout Operations

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service
• Operate cash register and process transactions accurately (cash, credit, debit, returns, exchanges)
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change correctly
• Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, and store policies
• Ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process

Cash Handling & Accuracy

• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
• Maintain accuracy in all transactions and report discrepancies
• Follow company procedures for handling cash and payments securely
• Maintain confidentiality of customer payment information

Store Support & Maintenance

• Assist with bagging merchandise and organizing purchases
• Help restock shelves and maintain a clean checkout area
• Support team members during busy periods
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized front-end area

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred (but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Basic computer and POS system knowledge
