Job Summary

Tacos Awiws is looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier / Alcohol Server to join our team. This position is responsible for taking guest orders, handling payments, and safely serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with all state and local laws. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, maintains a clean work area, and helps ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to company standards and legal regulations.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage offerings.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns when possible.
  • Keep the cashier station and front counter clean and organized.
  • Restock beverages, cups, and supplies as needed.
  • Follow all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Assist team members during busy periods to maintain efficient service.

Requirements

  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in the state.
  • Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Certifications

  • Responsible Alcohol Service Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
