Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a bubbly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced pizza restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role is essential in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers at our grocery store. The FOH cashier can expect cash tips as part of their hourly wage.

Duties

• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
• Operate and maintain cleanliness of espresso machine and coffee grinder to company standard
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items, promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively communicate with customers.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and change for transactions.
• Stock shelves and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels and participating in stock counts as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills to handle transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products available in the grocery store.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work on feet for up to 12 hours
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend basic English

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
