Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm
Position Overview
We’re looking for an organized, customer-focused Parts & Service Cashier to be the financial point of contact for our Parts and Service departments. You’ll be the friendly face customers see when they pick up parts or pay for their service, and the reliable teammate who keeps our transactions accurate and our paperwork clean. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Counter

Greet customers professionally and promptly at the cashier counter

Answer phone calls and direct inquiries regarding parts orders, repair orders, and payments

Handle customer concerns regarding billing with patience and escalate to management when needed
Cashiering & Payment Processing

Process customer payments for parts and service: cash, check, credit/debit cards, fleet accounts, and warranty accounts

Open and close cash drawers, balance daily receipts, and prepare bank deposits accurately

Issue refunds, credits, and adjustments per dealership policy with proper documentation

Maintain petty cash and change fund accountability
Administrative & DMS Support

Close repair orders in the DMS (CDK)

File and maintain hard copies/digital records of ROs, invoices, and warranty documents

Verify tax exemptions, fleet discounts, and manufacturer pricing are applied correctly

Reconcile daily cashier report and report discrepancies to the office manager immediately
Department Support

Assist Parts department with will-call parts pickups and customer notifications

Assist Service Advisors with collecting payment before vehicle release

Keep cashier area, customer waiting area, and counters clean and organized
Qualifications
Required
-
High school diploma or GED
-
2+ years cashiering, banking, or retail payment processing experience
-
Basic math skills and strong attention to detail for cash handling

Professional communication skills and customer service mindset

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Basic computer skills; comfortable learning new software quickly
Preferred
-
Experience with a dealership DMS: CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerTrack, Tekion

Knowledge of automotive parts terminology and repair order flow is a plus

Familiarity with manufacturer warranty policies and procedures is a plus
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods

Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs for parts counter support

Manual dexterity to operate computer, calculator, credit card terminal, and phone
