Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle cash efficiently. You will also assist in maintaining the store's appearance and ensuring that products are well-stocked and displayed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash with care, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly and securely.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to maintain an inviting shopping environment.
• Conduct product demonstrations when necessary to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels and customer feedback.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions and provide change accurately.
• Supervise junior staff or new hires as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail or cashier role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; training will be provided if necessary.
• Ability to stock shelves efficiently and maintain product displays.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
