Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly opening Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an understanding of food service operations and the ability to work well under pressure, ensuring that customers have a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately using Toast POS
• Process phone/takeout orders
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs promptly.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
• Assist in food handling and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food delivery.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
• Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.94 - $17.50 per hour
