Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and merchandised
• Upsell products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
• Provide friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting merchandising tasks, and participating in stock counts

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; training provided
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
• Experience with POS systems is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a busy grocery or retail environment
• Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities
