Agata & Valentina is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Cashier to join our Front End team. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring accuracy and efficiency at checkout.

Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer purchases, handling payments, providing receipts, and assisting with bagging. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, professional service
• Accurately process transactions (cash, credit, and other payment methods)
• Ensure proper change is given and receipts are issued
• Verify credit card transactions and request ID when necessary
• Bag customer purchases carefully when needed
• Maintain responsibility for assigned cash drawer and report discrepancies
• Memorize and accurately use produce PLU codes
• Assist with front-end organization, restocking, and cleanliness
• Support team members, including assisting with carts and baskets during slower periods
• Follow all company policies, including cashier procedures and employee shopping policies
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Remain flexible with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and peak store hours

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills and cash-handling accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• High attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Prior cashier or retail experience preferred (but not required)

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
