Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service with a positive attitude.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demos to boost sales.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly displayed.
• Support merchandising initiatives by stocking shelves and setting up promotional displays.
• Practice effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Use strong communication skills to resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Contribute to a lively shopping atmosphere by engaging in product knowledge sharing and upselling techniques.

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership roles are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities.
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate transactions and retail math understanding for sales calculations.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with good phone etiquette to interact confidently with customers and team members.
